  Ledro Valley is a quiet and safe place, where families with children can enjoy their holiday.

  Several activities and events are organized for families with children, like for exemple guided walks of “Escursioni Natura”; the afternoons and activities at the Pile-Dwelling Museum and in the interesting Museums’ network “ Reled”. Lake Ledro is a huge turquoise swimming pool, where children can swim or learn how to sail or how to use a canoe. We assure you, your kids will not get bored!

  Sport

  Valle di Ledro is a natural gym immersed in the nature, perfect for outdoor sport enthusiast!

  Not only water sports such as swimming, sailing, canoeing or swimming… Lake Ledro is a real paradise for mountain biking and hiking! Tremalzo, Ponale and Pernici path are just some of the most well known! If that is for you not enough and you are looking for more adrenalin just try canyoning and paragliding!

  Dogs

  In Ledro and in our apartments your dog is welcome!

  Part of the beach at Pur is dedicated to families with dogs and dispensers have been placed around the lake to dispose of the bags for collecting dog faeces that’s why Ledro council won a Prize, awarded by the Brambilla Tourist Minister! There are a number of restaurants in Ledro where it is possible to eat in the company of your four legged friends!

  Nature

  For sure is nature that attracts most of our guests and makes their holiday in the Valle di Ledro a very special one.

  Lake Ledro is one of the cleanest lakes in Trentino and during the summer it reaches a temperature of 24 degrees, which allows nice swim. Some suggestions in order to fully enjoy Ledro’s Nature: Tremalzo: a site of floral interest for an exceptional concentration of endemic species, Lake Ampola: a marvellous nature reserve housing a huge variety of animals and plants, Concei Valley offers splendid nature tracks through centuries-old woodland of beech and spruce firs, Ponale: the path to take one's breath away jutting out over Lake Garda… from here the views are truly unforgettable.

  Culture

  The UNESCO's Lake-Dwellers of Ledro is a settlement dating back to the Bronze Age; the Museum offers the possibility to discover how was prehistorical life on Lake Ledro.

  Another suggested visit is the one in the Pharmaceutical Museum Foletto, where you can find some equipment and implements, which tell the story of the Foletto laboratory, dating from the early 20th century. This lab, set up and managed next to the adjacent pharmacy business was a veritable pharmaceutical plant in those pioneering years. The output of the facility was varied and plentiful, ranging from injectable phials to fruit syrups by way of many registered medicinal specialities. We invite you to visit this little museum, which enshrines affection and nostalgia for genuinely handmade things, for a ‘taste' of times past and present. Before the sunset don’t miss a walk in Ledro Land Art, the place where artistic creativity meets nature in Ledro.

  Traditional cuisine and typical products

  Valle di Ledro offers meals, which are very similar to the ones of the traditional Trentino cuisine, but there are also some appetizing local dishes that you cannot taste in any other valley, such as potatoes polenta, peverà and caponec. Moreover, our way of cooking was influenced by the Bohemian cuisine.

  During the exile (1915-18) our grandmothers learnt how to prepare gnocchi and cakes according to the Czech cooking tradition. Let us introduce you some tasty and local suggestions: in Troticoltura Armanini you can find fresh trouts and chars. The butcher Cis Massimo offers a great variety of genuine meat, such as “Carne Salada”. In Ledro Valley there are many producers of wild berries (for example Azienda Agricola Bosc del Meneghì), cheese and butter. Try our local beer in Birrificio Leder: salute! The Foletto Laboratory produce typical fruit syrups, liquors and the famous Picco Rosso…only for the brave ones!
